Morgado and its sister course, Alamos, are located close to Monchique and Silves, completely immersed in the Algarve countryside. The area is in a conservation area, and therefore completely free from building works. Morgado has two distinct 9's with the front 9 an undulating affair with great views, whereas the back 9 is very flat, quite open and dominated by a series of water hazards. Alamos only opened in 2005, and is developing nicely. It is much tighter but gives you a true sense of golfing with nature. The estate also makes its own very fine wines, and the welcoming clubhouse is the ideal spot to try a glass or two.
